The mostly tropical climate in Laos makes hiking and trekking tours sometimes a challenging experience. If you come in the wet season where trails and paths are muddy and slippery a trek can be quite an adventure. Mostly though (ask for specific regions) the climate is perfect in the cooler mountain areas and in our opinion the best way to see and discover the real Lao countryside.
